Tally cried soft tears into the river she was near.
They turned invisible and slowly disappeared down to the bottom of the river.
She was thinking about him again.
She looked up to the sky, where the star Zane used to be. Even though it had gone through it's supernova and lost its light, Tally could still see it.
"Oh Zane," Tally said. "Even though I ended up with David, I still think it wasn't what was meant to be. I think it was meant to be you and me. When I join your star up there, it will be."
A star went past. "I wish that you weren't a star anymore," she said.
She sighed. That wish would never come true, and she knew it.
So she just closed her eyes and fell asleep on the grass.
She dreamed she was in a cave.
This cave was very dark, Tally could only see a few things.
A person was one of those things. This person had a knife, and was cutting something.
Tally tumbled and landed toward the person.
The thing it was cutting was also a person.
"Why are you cutting a person?" Tally asked.
"He deserves it," the person said. "You liked him, thought of him before you thought of Shay. So now, he shall be cut open and never return."
"Who are you?"
"That's not important," said the person. "Say good bye to Zane." The person cut the boy in half.
"No," said Tally. "This can't be..."
Tally woke up.
A light surrounded her. It made her float into the air. It wasn't a dream, it was really happening.
She was carried up into the clouds. Then the star's light shined again and grew legs, arms, a head, and a body.
"Zane?"
"Tally," the star said.
"Is it really you?"
"Yes, and this isn't a dream Tally."
They were carried back down to the ground and the light that had surrounded them disappeared.
Tally pinched herself, it hurt. Then again, she had felt pain in dreams before.
"So, are you alive?"
"Yes," said Zane. "Something happened, I don't know how it did but something happened that turned me into a star and then back to normal."
Tally closed her eyes as she and Zane kissed.
After the kiss was over, she opened her eyes.
"It was a dream," she cried.
"Tally?" a familiar voice said.
It can't be she thought, blinking slowly. It's still just a dream. I know he's not real anymore, it's just my imagination.
She then closed her eyes for seventy seconds and opened them again. Then she turned around.
Her eyes opened wide. "Zane? Is it really you?"
There was no light, their feet were on the ground, they both looked the same, and everything else looked exactly the same.
She felt the river, it was really wet. Then she saw David.
Tally ran up to Zane. She felt him, it wasn't a dream this time.
Then she kissed him, it felt the same way as it had before.
"So it really is you Zane?"
"Yes Tally," Zane said. It was his voice.
So it really did happen in the end. Zane had come back to life. Tally didn't know how, neither did Zane. After all the days and nights that had passed though (52), they both knew it wasn't a dream.
